From Oregon to Fort Lauderdale

There are a few entrances to The Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale - one through the cafe on the beach side and one through the drop off/pick up/valet side. The layout inside looks different from the way it did on New Years 2012. Some of the new employees now speak French which is a joy to hear.

The wine menu now even has a 2017 Pinot Noir from A to Z in Oregon. The vodkas have not been poured out although one of the gentlemen at the door yesterday would sure have liked to protest not only the liquor often associated with Russia but also the Russian-speaking population. Luckily, The Ritz-Carlton is a company that still maintains its' property in Moscow and the staff, for the most part, are willing to continue to abide by The Gold Standard the brand has been known for over the last 100 years.

Try the Pinot or the Tuna Tartar. Walk the beach. Enjoy.
